Healing at light speed
- Faster regeneration
- Less pain and swelling
- 100% autologous blood therapy
What is PRF, and how does it work?
PRF stands for Platelet-Rich Fibrin — fibrin rich in platelets. It is not an artificial material or a medication, but a biological membrane prepared from your own blood.
The process is simple and completely safe
-
Blood draw: Before surgery begins, we take a small amount of blood (similar to a routine lab test).
-
Centrifugation: The tubes are placed in a special machine that spins them at high speed.
-
Obtaining the active material: During centrifugation, the blood separates. A jelly-like, yellowish substance collects at the top of the tube. This fibrin clot is concentrated with your body’s own growth factors and white blood cells.
-
Placement: We place this dense material directly into the extraction or surgical site.
Why is this good for you? The 5 main benefits of PRF
With PRF, we amplify the body’s natural healing processes:
- Significantly faster healing: The material placed in the wound continuously releases growth factors, so soft tissue and bone regeneration starts much sooner.
- Less pain and swelling: In our experience, patients treated with PRF report far less discomfort and less facial swelling in the days after surgery.
- Protection against infection: The fibrin clot forms a natural barrier against bacteria, greatly reducing the risk of wound infection.
- 100% natural: Because it is made from your own blood, there is no allergic reaction, no rejection, and no foreign material enters your body.
- Better implant outcomes: It helps new bone tissue form faster and more stably around the placed implant.
When do we recommend PRF?
Although it is beneficial for almost any procedure, we especially recommend it in these cases:
- Wisdom tooth surgery:
- More complex extractions:
- Dental implant placement:
- Bone grafting procedures (sinus lift):
